Calling on Students From Betty Reed, a sixth grade reading and English teacher at J.T. Lambert Intermediate School, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania: ìTo avoid calling on the same students, I put each studentís name on an index card. Throughout the year, I continue to shuffle the cards and use them to call on students. Absences or other needed information can also be recorded. This helps with my record keeping and keeps students on their toes since they never know when they may be called on to answer. It ensures that ALL students participate.î |
